That one here is much nicer
It might just be my personal taste, but I think using conversational language can really help make a story easier to digest
that said, your story is a psychological dystopia, I get why this isn’t fully compatible
That's sort of both
I admit it was kind of a backhanded compliment, sometimes the figures of speech were laid on thick
BUT I LIKE THAT (MOSTLY)
one of my favorite prose/webcomics right now is Paranatural, and that thing is full of wordplay and literary ballet that have the story dance around your mind
(my favorite except from this latest update)
Even without context, I think this is a good show of the way flowery language can enhance a piece of work
I think if I had to say something meaningful, sometimes the similes in particular felt a bit abrupt at times.
I'm not saying to use fewer comparisons - nor to just straight up turn them into metaphors. Still, there was enough “like”, “as”, “akin to”, and “resembling” that I began to consciously take notice of it

That sweet sweet escapism but bee swarm themed. I wish someone would write "I Was A Sad Endgame Mixed Hive Bee Swarm Player But I Got Hit By Truck Kun And Was Reborn As A Bee From Bee Swarm Simulator And Now I Have To Go To Bee School With OP Power" I think it would go hard
