Chapter 10: Crossed
Pinpoint: “You’re really annoying to catch. You know that?”
Pinpoint flung a deflated balloon off of his wing, grumbling at Blaise, who had took him a very long time to corner.
Blaise: “Heh, what can I say…? I’m a fast one.”
Blaise smiled at Pinpoint awkwardly, as she backed into the alleyway with no ammo left on her.
Pinpoint: “… I actually wasn’t going to hunt you this time… err, something happened.”
Blaise: “Hmm? Something happened with you that warrants my attention?”
Pinpoint: “… So whoever placed a bounty on you… I… misunderstood the assignment. So here’s my apology to you.”
Pinpoint said that with a slight edge in his voice, he didn’t want to admit that he got something wrong, that he… failed.
Blaise: “Mhm… so… you want to come with me for some fun stuff?”
Blaise thought it would be awesome to have recruited another fellow bee to her little mission, and kick things off once again.
Pinpoint scowled slightly, before smirking.
Pinpoint: “Y’know… it could be fun to go on a tiny adventure after so long, I don’t suppose there will be any harm in doing so. In that case… sure. I accept your invitation.”
During a quiet and slightly eerie walk, Pinpoint decided to raise conversation a bit.
Pinpoint: “… I like your balloons… they’re… strategic.”
Blaise: “Thanks, made em myself… speaking of weapons, yours seems like it could do a lot more. I mean… a close range sniper? Doesn’t seem that practical. If it works, it works though.”
Pinpoint internally groaned at Blaise’s remark. He knew he wasn’t using his rifle to her full potential, but…
Blaise: “We’re here already! C’mon, I’ve been here before, so I know how to sneak in.”
Before Pinpoint could gather his thoughts, Blaise pulled his wing with her, once again inside the Bleached Corps. HQ.
Pinpoint had to take a few seconds to adjust to the bright white flash that was the lighting. The bright light was almost blinding.
Blaise pointed at a close door, with a broken lock that had ice seeping out of it. However, it seemed to have been sealed shut.
Blaise: “That’s the door I used to get in here last time, wonder why it’s icy now…”
Pinpoint raised his eyebrow, it seemed quite familiar to him, he had definitely seen where it had come from before.
Pinpoint: “We can take the main corridor, I don’t remember there being many employees here. And, if we do bump into anyone, there’ll be a lot of rooms to store them.”
Before Pinpoint would finish, Blaise had already rushed through the main hall enthusiastically.
Pinpoint: “How I envy that bee’s impulsiveness…”
Suddenly, Pinpoint and Blaise both felt a shadow before them, they looked forward and saw…
Lozenge: “Oi, what’s your business here?”
Blaise jumped and almost bumped into Pinpoint, he pushed her away quickly, before taking a deep look at Lozenge.
Pinpoint: “You tell me- er, us who you are first.
Lozenge: “Really? Well, I don’t get that business from whoever runs this place, but if they offer me enough honey… Anyway, the names Lozenge.”
Blaise jumped into the conversation ecstatically, excited to see someone who could turn out to be a fun ally. She wrapped her wing around Pinpoint and squeezed them together.
Blaise: “Hi! I’m Blaise and this is my friend Pinpoint! Our mission is to shut down whatever’s going on here! You know where the boss is?”
Lozenge: “Oh? Now, I worked for this bee, but if you give me a handsome sum of honey…”
Pinpoint pointed his the tip of his gun towards Lozenge menacingly.
Pinpoint: “Tell us now.”
Lozenge: “… Fine. Keep going down the hall…
Lozenge thought for a second, and scratched their chin in thought.
Lozenge: “… Actually, I’m kinda curious about all this stuff too. I’m coming with ‘ya.”

Oh boy, I can’t wait to continue BSC-
The nefarious Block Tales demo 4 and Deltarune chapter 3-4, Forsaken Noli Public Testing, Cookie Run rabbit hole, TDS hacker, etc.:
So it’s been a month and 4 days since the last released (sub)chapter, haha… I’ve decided to shorten BSC down to 12 chapters instead of 15, as I feel like subchapters already fill in the extra gaps and stretching 3 more chapters would be really boring and unnecessary
So… that means this is the antepenultimate (I had to google that word) BSC main chapter. Chapters 11 and 12 will hopefully be comparatively huge to the earlier chapters, Chapter 10 was already slightly larger than the ones preceding it, and the next ones will only continue that trend.
12 is also just a nice number so-
