Diamond stares blankly at her maths homework. Her brain, chugging tenaciously along at a sluggish pace, only ever arrives at “I don’t understand this” even after a lot of hard work and thinking. She is weighed down by all the stress from today: she nearly got caught in a food fight, and now she has to help prove Bomber’s innocence.
Diamond: Think, Diamond! Think! You’re good at maths, you know this stuff.
Eventually she gets a bit tired. No thoughts, head empty, only exhaustion.
She turns to her phone for solace. The class Discord chat is rather heated. Some homework discussions slip between the cracks, but it is mostly about the earlier food fight, and especially about Bomber the scapegoat. Making jokes about Bomber. Poking fun at Bomber. Insulting Bomber. Hating on Bomber in general.
Not wanting more negativity, Diamond goes to her own, similarly active friend group chat. Festive and Bomber are discussing how best to prove Bomber’s innocence:

hmmm…what if we asked whoever has access to the security cameras for the logs? like we could get the recordings and show it to everyone

must be nigh infallible
must be possible (since asking god himself is infallible but impossible)
must not cause unnecessary damage
must minimise punishment/anger caused
and our latest criteria
must not make bubble angery at diamond (again)
which is why i wanted to get the footage and just show it to the bomber blamers instead of getting onett to do it
he might dish out some detentions on top of bubble’s ever growing list of detentions and that’s just not okay (not to him)
and that would make him mad at diamond
it meets criteria 1 and 2 but misses every other one

I’m sorry that the food fight happened today, even if I didn’t start it. It must be quite stressful to deal with it all. But I have a favour to ask, if it’s not too big of an addition to your plate: can you help prove that Bomber is innocent? By perhaps getting security camera footage and showing it to the class in the morning? If possible, try not to be too harsh on the class, and especially not Bubble and his friends. They’re most certainly the ones to blame. There’s enough anger going around, and an angry Bubble won’t be a good Bubble to deal with. And also please don’t tell them I asked you to prove that Bomber didn’t start it. They might target me again.

I know you didn’t start the fight. There’s no need to apologise. As for stress, I’m fine with it! Thanks for asking.
As for Bomber, I myself heard mutterings about Bomber being the instigator. I knew he couldn’t be, and me and Cyber have checked the security camera footage and know for sure it wasn’t him. I was planning to prove that to the class tomorrow anyway.
It’s smart of you to think to avoid triggering more hostility within the class. Good job Diamond. I never would have thought of that in my life.
We shall see what happens tomorrow, shall we?
