BrickBloom1

A Brick Bloom.

Brick Blooms are passive entities that can be spawned naturally in any of the four fields of the Retro Swarm Challenge. They are retro-styled flowers with a green stem with purple petals, and a yellow center. After a certain amount of pollen is collected in their radius, Brick Blooms burst into Brick tokens. Brick Blooms spawn on rounds, 1, 3, 7, 12, 18, and may continue spawning on higher rounds. The first Brick Bloom always spawns in the Mixed Brick Field. In higher waves, multiple Brick Blooms may be active at the same time.

Levels[]

There are multiple levels of Brick Blooms that can spawn. The later the round, the higher level a Brick Bloom will usually be when spawning. Similar to Puffshrooms, the higher level a Brick Bloom is, the larger it will appear. When a Brick Bloom is defeated, another one will spawn in a random field, one level higher.

Drops[]

The tokens that spawn from Brick Blooms are both local and global, so players always receive tokens from them regardless of whether they helped to destroy it or not. More bricks are rewarded when defeating higher level Brick Blooms.

Strategies[]

  • Having multiple players can help with collecting the required amount of pollen faster.
  • With a team, one player can be designated for the managing of Brick Blooms.
  • Picking bees with extra pollen multipliers such as gifted bees can help out a lot.
  • Paying attention to which field the Brick Bloom spawned on and acting on that can help out. A player who is managing Brick Blooms but has a predominantly red hive, may have difficulty dealing with higher level Brick Blooms on the Blue Brick Field. Players can communicate to handle different fields to manage Brick Blooms more efficiently.
  • Using ranged weapons can allow a player to fend off mobs while the player's bees collect pollen for a Brick Bloom, not getting distracted by mobs.
  • Activating as many buffs as possible will help collection become optimal.

Trivia[]

  • Despite having a level system, there is no way to "miss" a Brick Bloom, unlike with most mobs.
    • This is due to the fact that a Brick Bloom is a passive mob, like Puffshrooms.
