Mythic Meteor Shower

The Mythic Meteor Shower summoner.

A Mythic Meteor Shower is a server-wide event that was added in the 6/6/2020 update. Its original location was on top of the Pro Shop but has since been changed to be on Badge Bearer's Guild in the 1/12/2024 update. Any player who has discovered at least 3 Mythic Bee types can summon it and it has a cooldown of 22 hours.

When summoned by a player, the distorted voice of IcedTeaLatte says "Mythic Meteors", and a server-wide announcement will state, "☄️️{Username} has summoned a Mythic Meteor Shower!☄️". Rarely, Onett himself will summon a global meteor shower. In this case, a server-wide announcement will state, "☄️️A Mythic Meteor Shower has been summoned!☄️️". Sometimes, usually before Beesmas ends, Onett will summon Mythic Meteor Showers under an alias.

A light purple fog will appear, and meteors will start raining down on 3 random fields, those of which will show white boxes falling from the sky onto them (similar to the pollen haze box). These boxes will appear vibrant from a distance but will dim when the player enters the field, and they indicate that meteors are falling onto those fields. The prizes scale with size, for the smaller the meteor, the higher the chance to get more valuable rewards. If the Meteor Shower was activated by a player, the meteors will collect and instantly convert pollen for them, and the amounts collected are based on the number of Mythic and Gifted Mythic bees in their hive. The event lasts for 3 minutes, and the chosen fields will swap a total of 3 times during that time period with the swap occurring approximately once every minute.

If the player is on cooldown, the pad will prompt, "Summon a Mythic Meteor Shower ([time remaining])." If there is a Meteor Shower currently active and the player steps on the pad, whether or not the player is on or off cooldown, it will prompt, "A Meteor Shower is in progress".

Drops

When a player stands on the drop zone of a meteor (which is indicated by a purple circle), the reward tokens will be distributed in a line across the field, usually leading to the drop zone of another meteor. The number of tokens per meteor is determined by the number of Mythic bees in the summoner's hive, while the rarity of reward tokens changes with the size of the meteor drop zone (with rarer items tending to be more common the smaller the meteor). Tokens produced by the Meteors can be collected with token links and other means of token collection. The drops are not affected by a player's loot luck.

Trivia

• Similar to a Honeystorm and a Snow Storm, if it changes from day to night or from night to daytime, the fog will disappear.
• If you summon a honeystorm during a meteor shower, the honeystorm's yellow fog will replace the purple fog, then the fog vanishes when the honeystorm ends.
• Meteors summoned by players are boosted by consumables that affect fields such as glitter, field dice and field boosters meaning that the player who summons the meteors is capable of getting lots of honey through these methods.
• Similar to Wild Windy Bee, the quality of the rewards is affected by the law of diminishing marginal utility, meaning that the more times the player has experienced meteor showers in one day, the worse the rewards gradually get as they participate.
• This is the only machine that requires the player to discover Mythic bee types to be used.
• This is the third summoner that requires bees, including the Sprout Summoner, and the Honeystorm Summoner.
• The audio of this and the honeystorm when they are summoned both sound distorted.
• If a honeystorm is summoned during a Mythic Meteor Shower, the purple fog of the meteor shower will go away after the honeystorm is summoned. The meteor shower will continue though.
• If a player catches a meteor from a player-summoned mythic meteor shower, it will collect two times as much pollen from the field and give it to the player who summoned it.
• On the start of 1/1/2022, a global mythic meteor shower with the tag "☄️️2022 has summoned a Mythic Meteor Shower!☄️️" occurred.
  • This also occurred the following year in 2023 with the tag "☄️️2023 has summoned a Mythic Meteor Shower!☄️️"
