- This is the second belt accessory awarded by Sun Bear on his first visit, the first being the Belt Bag.
- In the 2018-09-10 update, Sun Bear returned for a second visit wearing the Mondo Belt Bag and the Beekeeper's Boots. The Mondo Belt Bag worn by Sun Bear is much bigger than the player's.
- Before the 2018-11-25 update, the Mondo Belt Bag didn't require stingers, pineapples, or sunflower seeds to be purchased.
- This is the 4th strongest belt accessory in the game, behind the Honeycomb Belt, Petal Belt and the Coconut Belt.
- This is one of the few items that went from being a quest reward to being purchasable in a shop.
