The Mondo Chick is a level 8 boss chick located in the Mountain Top Field. It respawns every hour at the full hour (1:00, 2:00, 3:00, etc., not in time zones that are a fractional number of hours away from UTC), and its respawn timer can be found on the side of the Mountain Top Shop. The respawn time is unaffected by the Monster Respawn Time stat. Its rewards can be shared between players.
The Mondo Chick will always spawn at level 8 with 300,000 health. It takes 333 damage automatically each second, causing its health to reach 300 after 15 minutes. If it isn't defeated within 15 minutes of spawning, it will despawn in a similar fashion as the Commando Chick. Similar to the Coconut Crab, player(s) will be rewarded depending on how fast the Mondo Chick is defeated. Due to its large range and damage, it’s recommended to keep distance between the player and the Mondo Chick.
If a Rogue Vicious Bee spawns in the Mountain Top Field, it can attack the Mondo Chick, causing its health to drop rapidly.
The Mondo Chick will hide in its egg after several seconds, causing it to stop moving and block some attacks. The egg can be cracked by dealing 7,500 damage to it or by waiting 23 seconds via automatic damage.
When Mondo Chick spawns, a server-wide message displays:
Mondo Chick has spawned!
Once it is captured, players who damaged it get three messages displaying:
Defeated Mondo Chick!
Captured Mondo Chick in [Time] (Fastest Time: [Fastest Time])/[(New Record)]
Reward: Mondo Chick Blessing x[Amount]
Sometimes, the notification box may glitch out, and this would be seen instead:
Captured Mondo Chick in [Time] (Fastest Time:)
When its time runs out, it will jump out of the field towards the Lion Bee Gate entrance. A message notifies players who damaged it when Mondo Chick's time runs out, displaying:
The Mondo Chick got away!
Strangely, for some players, the message that appears when Mondo Chick is captured always says "New Record" next to the time. This includes cases when the time it took for that capture wasn't a fastest time for that player. This is possibly a bug.

Tips[]
- Have bees specialized in attack, such as Vicious Bee, Lion Bee, Rage Bee, Spicy Bee, and Precise Bee.
- Have bees that produce ability tokens such as Focus, Rage, and Melody, that improve Critical Chance, Critical Power, and Bee Attack.
- Build a Focus stack before the Mondo Chick spawns.
- If the player owns a Precise Bee, they can try and stack Precision to increase Super-Crit Chance.
- The Demon Mask or the Fire Mask is recommended, as they have stats and passives that improve the player's attack damage.
- If the player has the Coconut Canister equipped, they can intentionally activate the Emergency Coconut Shield, giving them 10 seconds of ×1.25 Bee Attack and dropping 5 falling coconuts onto the field.
- Having Nectars like Invigorating Nectar, which grants ×1.01 - 1.1 Bee Attack.
- Level up bees to level 8 or higher. Bees with a lower level than the Mondo Chick are likely to miss their attacks, while bees with the same level or higher won't miss.
- Keep a distance from the Mondo Chick, as it can randomly change direction and deal significant damage to the player.
- Using various consumables and passives, such as
Stingers,
Coconuts,
Oils, or Star Saw can help defeat Mondo Chick faster.

Trivia[]
- The Mondo Chick's noises can be heard throughout the entire map.
- This is also the case with the Cave Monsters.
- The Mondo Chick is the only mob that has a fixed spawn point in the Mountain Top Field.
- During the soft launch of the Egg Hunt 2020 update, the Mondo Chick only had 250,000 health. It was later changed to 300,000 the following day.
- If the player already has the Mondo Chick Blessing buff and defeats another Mondo Chick, the new blessing will override the old buff, resetting its timer and possibly degrading or upgrading the buff depending on the time taken to defeat the Mondo Chick.
- Mondo Chick, Stick Nymphs, and Festive Nymphs are the only mobs in the game that take damage without anything attacking them.
- Mondo Chick, Festive Nymphs, and Party Robots are the three mobs in the game that can drop a “blessing” buff.
- Out of these three, Mondo Chick is the only one to guarantee a blessing buff after defeating it.
- Mondo Chick does not drop the blessing buff in token form; instead, it goes directly to the player’s active buffs.
- Onett has said on discord that he dislikes Mondo Chick "on a personal level."
- If the Mondo Chick falls out of the Mountain Top field and into another field, when defeated, the rewards will spawn in that field it was defeated in. However, if it dies outside of a field, its drops will form in a ring.
- As of the Beesmas 2020 update, the Mondo Chick no longer drops
Marshmallow Bees. - There is a glitch where the Mondo Chick would fall into other areas outside of the Mountain Top Field, such as into the Bamboo Field, Blue Flower Field or in front of the Pro Shop. Rarely, the fallen Mondo Chick will not be able to move unless it falls into the Pineapple Patch. On an even rarer occurrence, the Mondo Chick will get stuck on the tall rocks adjacent to the Lion Bee Gate.
