Nectar is a set of buffs that were added in the 2021-12-26 update. It is granted from planters, either through harvesting them, having bees sip from planters, using Dapper Bear's Samovar during Beesmas, or using a nectar vial item. Some quests require a certain amount and type of nectar to be collected. All sources of getting Nectar can contribute to those quests (except collecting Nectar from the Nectar Pot).

There are five types of Nectar: Invigorating, Satisfying, Motivating, Comforting and Refreshing.

Nectar buffs can last for up to 24 hours and the boosts granted scale with the amount of time remaining. 12 hours of Nectar can be converted to a Vial using the Nectar Condenser. If the player has more than 12 hours of nectar, the remaining nectar will not be condensed. Nectar can also be stored inside the Nectar Pot located in the 30 Bee Zone for 5 Tickets. All of the Nectar types can be stored, but in order to deposit Nectar, any stored Nectar must be withdrawn first. If the Nectar is not stored, it will continue to deplete even if the player is not in the game.

The table below shows the different Nectar types, the fields where a player can obtain them, and which planters give more Nectar than usual. All nectar types have a x0.75 bonus from the Paper Planter, x1.5 from The Planter Of Plenty, x2 from Ticket Planters and Sticker Planters, and x3 from Festive Planters.

Trivia[]

  • Every nectar icon (except Refreshing) has a letter on it that represents the first initial of the type of nectar.
    • Refreshing has no letter, although it is presumed that the icon has the gaps of the letter 'R'.
    • Comforting has the letter 'C' resembling a crescent moon shape.
    • Satisfying has the letter 'S' resembling the lightning bolt in its decal.
    • Motivating has the letter 'M' in the lightbulb resembling the filament.
    • Invigorating has the lower part of 'I' or a small capital 'I' at the bottom of the fire.
  • Shy Bee has the passive Nectar Lover, where it is twice as likely to sip nectar and gather twice as much nectar. It also contributes twice as much to the planter's growth.
  • Nectar cannot be collected from the Ant Field although Onett announced that Ant Field contains Invigorating Nectar.
    • Likewise, nectar cannot be collected from the Hub Field, though a glitch allowed planters to be placed there.
      • As such, harvesting a planter in this field grants Comforting Nectar, though abusing this glitch may result in having your account flagged.
