Passive Ability icons which can be seen on the top of the screen. These icons are for Haste Pulser, Coconut Haste Surge, Ignite, X-Flame and Emergency Coconut Shield.

Passive Abilities, or simply Passives are effects found on some accessories, amulets, or bees. If the passive is granted by an accessory or an amulet, these effects are displayed on top of the screen. Most passive abilities must be triggered in order to activate it, however some do not require any specific action in order to be activated. The amount of charge is displayed in the bottom right of their icon and will turn back to 0 when the ability is activated.

Some passive abilities have a cooldown. When in cooldown, the number of seconds left will be displayed and will turn red. No trigger will activate the ability, nor increase the trigger counter. These passive abilities also have an initial cooldown when you equip items that have those passives to prevent bypassing the cooldown.

Accessory Passives

Haste Pulser

The icon for Haste Pulser.

Haste Pulser activates every 30th haste token collected. When activated, it fires a blue pulse that hops to each blue bee. When the pulse hops between bees, it collects pollen from 9 surrounding flowers around them. Power increases every hop.

Haste Pulser is granted by equipping the Cobalt Guard.

This passive makes the same sound as a regular pulse from Cobalt or Crimson Bee.


Focus Pulser

The icon for Focus Pulser.

Focus Pulser activates every 30th focus token collected. When activated, it fires a red pulse which hops to each red bee. When the pulse hops between bees, it collects pollen from 9 surrounding flowers around them. Power increases with each hop.

Focus Pulser is granted by equipping the Crimson Guard.

This passive makes the same sound as a regular pulse from Cobalt or Crimson Bee.

Bubble Bombs

The icon for Bubble Bombs.

Bubble Bombs activates every 7th bomb token collected. When activated, it spawns 3 bubbles randomly in the field the player is in. The bubbles last for 10 seconds. If any player, a petal shuriken, fuzz bombs, or a tornado from Windy Bee touches the bubble, it pops, collecting 3 red, 5 white, and 10 blue pollen from 29 surrounding flowers, the amount of pollen increased by, 15% per gifted blue bee type. While collecting the pollen, it also regrows flowers.

Bubble Bomb is granted by equipping the Bubble Mask or Diamond Mask if the player owns the Bubble Mask.

Diamond Drain

Diamond Drain activates every 30th blue ability token that are collected. When activated, it summons a giant diamond that instantly converts pollen into honey equal to 5 million pollen plus the total conversion amount of all your bees combined. The conversion amount increases by 10% for every Blue Bee the player has and also increases by 50% for every gifted blue Bee type you have. It also pollinates 10 (+3 per blue bee) blue flowers within the field.

After activation, the player needs to wait 45 seconds before they can trigger the ability once again.

Diamond Drain is granted by equipping the Diamond Mask.

When Diamond Drain is activated, the following audio plays:

Ignite

The icon for Ignite.

Ignite activates every 15th red ability token collected. When activated, it creates 5 flames in an X shape where the 15th red token is collected, lasting for 5 seconds. The fire collects 6 red / 3 white / 1 blue pollen from the 9 surrounding flowers each second, the amount of pollen increased by 2% per red bee and 4% per Gifted Red bee the player has. Additionally, the fires deal 15 damage to nearby enemies per second, ignoring defense and critical damage. While standing next to the flames, player will be granted flame heat.

Ignite is granted by equipping the Fire Mask (or Demon Mask if the player owns the Fire Mask).

X-Flame

The icon for X-Flame.

X-Flame activates every 25th battle ability token collected (ability tokens that can be generated in combat). When activated, it creates 29 flames in an X shape around the player which lasts for 3 seconds. Each fire collects 6 red / 3 white / 1 blue pollen from the 9 surrounding flowers per second, the amount of pollen increased by 2% for each Red Bee and 4% per Gifted Red Bee the player has. Additionally, the flames deal 15 damage to nearby enemies per second, ignoring Defense and critical damage. While standing next to the flames, player will be granted flame heat.

After activation, the player needs to wait for 20 seconds before they can trigger the ability once again.

X-Flame is granted by equipping the Demon Mask.

When X-Flame is activated, the following audio plays (Note that the audio in game is slowed down slightly):

Coin Scatter

The icon for Coin Scatter.

Coin Scatter activates every 20th mark token collected. When activated, 300% of the player's total hive conversion amount will be converted into 24 honey tokens which are scattered around the field. If not in a field, the honey is not converted. The honey tokens last for 1 minute and can only be seen by the player who activates it.

Each token will give a base of 2000 honey, increasing with Honey from Tokens.

Note: The honey tokens can't be collected by Token Link.

After activation, the player needs to wait for 2 minutes before they can trigger the ability once again.

Coin Scatter is granted by equipping the Honey Mask or Gummy Mask if the player owns the Honey Mask.

Gummy Morph

The icon for Gummy Morph.

The Gummy Bear morph.

Gummy Morph activates every 30 gumdrops used or 10 Gummy Bee ability tokens collected (Gummy Bee ability tokens count as 3 gumdrops). When activated, the player will be transformed into a Gummy Bear, Gummy Bee will glow, and the field will be covered fully in goo. As Gummy Bear, the player will be granted +75% Goo, +200% Instant Goo Conversion, +24 Movespeed, and +60 Jump Power. As Gummy Bee glows, it is granted +1000% gather amount, +300 Gummy Bee attack, and +200% speed (gather, conversion, and movement speeds) for 10 seconds. The Gummy Bee also leaves a trail while glowing.

Gummy Morph is granted by equipping the Gummy Mask.

Coconut Haste

The icon for Coconut Haste.

Coconut Haste activates whenever the player is hit by a falling coconut. When activated, the player gains a stack of haste and 2 seconds of Coconut Surge that grants +10 Player Movespeed and x1.5 Bee Movespeed.

Coconut Haste is granted from equipping the Coconut Clogs or Gummy Boots.

This passive is used for easier catching of falling coconuts. Passives that spawn coconuts spawn 5 coconuts when activated. It may be challenging to catch all 5, and Coconut Haste Surge makes it easier. When a coconut is caught, the speed boost makes it easier to catch the rest of coconuts that fall.

Goo Trail

The trail of goo left behind.

Goo Trail passively covers 5 surrounding flowers with goo wherever the player walks on a field. It doesn't require any condition to activate the ability.

Goo Trail is granted by equipping the Gummy Boots.

Emergency Coconut Shield

The icon for Emergency Coconut Shield.

Emergency Coconut Shield activates when the player takes damage directly from a mob. When it activates, it summons 5 falling coconuts, gains 100% Defense and increases Bee Attack by x1.25 for 10 seconds.

After activation, the player needs to wait for 5 minutes before they can trigger the ability once again.

Emergency Coconut Shield is granted by equipping the Coconut Canister.

There is a visual glitch where, if you have the fire, honey, bubble, demon, gummy, or diamond mask equipped, looking at it through the coconut shield will make the front of the mask disappear.

Inspire Coconuts

The icon for Inspire Coconuts.

Inspire Coconuts activates every 5th inspire token collected. When activated, it summons 5 falling coconuts on a field.

Inspire Coconuts is granted by equipping the Coconut Canister, in Coconut Crab's Cave.

Petal Storm

The icon for Petal Storm.

Petal Storm activates every 30th boost token collected. When activated, it fires 30 Petal Shurikens around the player in a spiral pattern. When the shuriken passes through a bee, the bee instantly converts 10,000 pollen, increased by 5% of its conversion amount.

After activation, the player needs to wait for 30 seconds before they can trigger the ability once again.

Petal Storm is granted by equipping the Petal Belt.

Star Amulet Passives

Guiding Star

The icon for Guiding Star.

A Guiding Star in the Sunflower Field.

Guiding Star activates every 250th boost token collected. When activated, it summons a Guiding Star over a random field for 10 minutes, granting x2.5 Pollen and Capacity to the player who summoned it and x1.25 Pollen and Capacity to other players in that field. Chooses 1 of the 5 fields the player has collected the least from. While active, the star pollinates 15 (+1 per Gifted Bee Type) flowers every 15 seconds.

It has a cooldown of 5 minutes.

Guiding Star can be obtained from Diamond or Supreme Star Amulets.

Guiding Star could have also been summoned in a random field if a player used Onett's Lid Art during the 2020 Beesmas event.

Guiding Star's Aura is visible to other players.

Star Shower

The icon for Star Shower.

Star Shower activates every 40th boost or mark token collected. When activated, 10 shooting stars will fall onto the field the player is standing on, which collect and instantly convert 30 pollen (+50% per Gifted Bee Type) from 5 flowers. Catching a shooting star grants a stack of inspire, and instantly converts pollen equal 1m (1,000,000) +200% of your total hive conversion.

Star Shower is granted by having a Diamond or Supreme Star Amulet with the Star Shower passive.

The passive is similar to the falling beesmas lights.

Pop Star

The icon for Pop Star.

Pop Star activates every 30th Blue Bomb Token collected. When activated, it summons a Pop Star which grants x2 Capacity and Blue Pollen for 45s. When the Pop Star is activated it automatically applies 2 minutes of "Bubble Bloat". While the Pop Star is active, every one of player's bubbles popped increases Blue Pollen by 1% (up to x4.5) and grants 4 seconds of "Bubble Bloat" (1 second if the Bubble is not popped by you) which increases Blue Field Capacity and Convert Rate at Hive by up to x7 for 3 hours. When it ends, the Pop Star spawns a number of bubbles over the field that increases with the number of Bubbles popped.

Pop Star is granted by having a Supreme Star Amulet with the Pop Star passive.

Gummy Star

Using Gumdrops while in a Field has a 2% chance to summon a Gummy Star (automatically summoned if 75 gumdrops are used without a Gummy Star appearing) which grants x2 White Field Capacity and +10% Goo Conversion for 45s. The Gummy Star grows as you collect Goo, granting bonus Goo (up to x4) the larger it gets. After 45s, the Gummy Star pops, scattering Honey Tokens equal to +1.5% per Gifted Colorless Bee Type of the Goo collected and Gumdrops Tokens over the field (increases with goo collected).

After activation, the player needs to wait for 1 minute before they can trigger the ability once again.

Gummy Star is granted by having a Supreme Star Amulet with the Gummy Star passive.

Scorching Star

Scorching Star activates every 30th red boost token collected. When activated, it summons a Scorching Star for 45s, which grants 50% Instant Flame Conversion, +5 Conversion Links, and x2 Red Field Capacity, Red Pollen, and Convert Rate. Standing near flames causes the star to grow, increasing the bonus Red Pollen and Convert Rate up to x5 and the number of Conversion Links up to 30.

After activation, the player needs to wait for 1 minute before they can trigger the ability once again.

Scorching Star is granted by having a Supreme Star Amulet with the Scorching Star passive.

When Scorching Star is activated, the following audio plays:

Star Saw

The icon for Star Saw.

A star saw circling around a player.

Star Saw refunds the 3rd stinger used, while also summoning a Star Saw that lasts for 30 seconds. Star Saw circles around the player, damaging hostile mobs (equal to 30% of your Total Attack), collecting tokens, and collecting and instantly converting 3 pollen (+0.5 for every 100 Total Attack) from 5 flowers 10 times a second. The saw converts additional pollen in pollen capacity equal to the amount it gathers.

Star Saw is granted by having a Supreme Star Amulet with the Star Saw passive.

Bee Passives

Gathering Bubbles

A bubble in a field.

Bubbles have a percentage chance to be spawned by certain bees when gathering. Bubbles spawn on the flower that the bee gathered and last for 10 seconds. When popped, they collect 3R/5W/10B pollen from 29 surrounding flowers and cause nearby flowers to grow back to full.

Bubbles can be generated by Bubble Bee, Tadpole Bee, frogs, and the Bubble Bomb passive. There is a 25% chance (50% if gifted) for Bubble Bees to spawn a bubble while gathering, and a 55% (75% if gifted) chance for Tadpole Bees to spawn a bubble while gathering.

Bubbles can be popped by other players, petal shurikens, tornadoes, and Fuzz Bombs.

When a bubble is popped, the following audio plays:

Gathering Flames

A flame in a field.

Flames have a percentage chance to spawned by certain bees when gathering. Flames spawn on the flower that the bee gathered and last for 3 seconds. When spawned, they collect 6 red/3 white/1 blue pollen from the 9 surrounding flowers each second (2% more per red bee, 4% per gifted red bee), deal 15 damage to any mob, and grant flame heat.

Flames can be generated by Fire Bee, Demon Bee, Spicy Bee's Inferno, the Ignite passive, and the X-Flame passive. There is a 35% chance (50% if gifted) for Fire Bees to spawn a flame spire while gathering, and a 55% (75% if gifted) chance for Demon Bees to spawn a flame spire while gathering.

The duration can be increased by Spicy Bee's gifted bonus (25% more time) and Spicy Bee's Flame Fuel ability (50% more time). In addition, Flame Fuel causes the flames to instantly convert 50k pollen +5% of the hive's total convert amount.

Steam Engine

Steam Engine is a passive ability exclusive to Spicy Bee. It boosts any Spicy Bee's movement speed and gathering speed by up to 100% with flame heat. When Steam Engine is active, Spicy Bee will increase the number of steam particles from its exhaust pipes proportionately with the amount of flame heat.

Fuzzy Coat

Fuzzy Coat is a passive ability exclusive to Fuzzy Bee. It has a chance to pollinate up to 5 surrounding flowers (9 if gifted) when gathering. Lower tier flowers have a higher chance of being pollinated than higher tier flowers.

Other Passives

Unlimited Gumdrops

The icon for the Unlimited Gumdrops buff.

Unlimited Gumdrops is a passive ability that can only be obtained through the Unlimited Gumdrops buff, which can be activated through certain codes and the Glue Dispenser. It allows the player to have the effect of gumdrops without them needing to use any of their gumdrops for 3 minutes. Having this buff active does NOT let a player claim a Gummy Bee Egg if the player has less than 2500 gumdrops.
