This page is for the Robo Bear Challenge and only it. For the quest-giver and shop owner, see Robo Bear.
The Robo Bear Challenge is a 5-minute Challenge that can be started by talking to Robo Bear. Upon entering the Challenge, the Player receives 2 Quests, which can be rerolled once for free in the whole run. Then, the Player should pick 3 Bees from their Hive, which can also be rerolled. After the 3 Bees are chosen, all other Bees that isn’t picked in prior Rounds or the current Round are deactivated. The Player is then allowed to purchase Buffs/upgrades that cost Cogs. After this, the Player has 5 minutes to complete the Quest that the player have chosen. Mechsquitos, Mega Mechsquitos, Cogmowers, Cogturrets, are mainly spawned and Golden Cogmowers spawns at random fields during the Challenge. Each 5 rounds completed; gets to earn a new tier of Cog Amulet.
Gameplay[]
Before Starting[]
To start the Robo Bear Challenge, the Player must spend a Robo Pass. Once spent, the Player receives free 10 Cogs and a Quest Reroll. Then, the Player has to select one of two Quests. After this, the Player will select one of the three selected Bees in the Player's Hive (the Player must select 3 Bees in the first Round and 2 Bees in subsequent rounds) and can be Rerolled at the expense of Cogs. This expense increases as it is used more. The Bees in the selection is shown their Hive Level, their Gifted Status, their equipped Beequip and their Mutation. After choosing the three Bees, the Player can purchase upgrades for Cogs, there are three different Upgrades the Player can choose from and can also be rerolled for Cogs that also has an expense increasing as it is used more.
After Starting[]
After starting the Round, the Player will receive the Quest, the Robo Bear Challenge Debuff, and their selected Bees. The unselected Bees are shut down in the Player's Hive. The Robo Bear Challenge Debuff affects Capacity, Pollen from Tools, Pollen from Movement Collection, and Pollen from Coconuts. The Player has 5 minutes to finish the Quests. During the Challenge, the Player is unable to harvest Planters and use Beesmas Decorations. Upon completion of the Quest, the Round ends, and the Player will receive Cogs based on how many cogs the Quest said it would give, along with bonus Cogs depending on how fast the player finished the quest. The Cogs from the Round Speed Bonus is given if the Player completes the quest within 3 minutes and 45 seconds and the amount of Cogs given is calculated proportionately. If the Player has upgrades that grant bonus Cogs, they will also be granted bonus Cogs based on the total amount of Cogs from all Upgrades. After a Round is finished or if the challenge ends, all Mobs exclusive in the Challenge will be gone along with the Upgrades and the Robo Bear Challenge Debuff. This process will repeat again in subsequent Rounds, but the Player can only select two Bees to add on to the Bees they already selected.
- Upon reaching Round 5, there is a guaranteed Quest to that requires the Player to defeat 25 Mechsquitos and collect 1,600,000 of a certain color of Pollen. This Round grants the Player a Bronze Cog Amulet upon completion.
- Upon reaching Round 10, there is a guaranteed Quest that requires the Player to defeat 10 Cogmowers and collect 60,000,000 of a certain color of Pollen. This Round grants the Player a Silver Cog Amulet upon completion.
- Upon reaching Round 15, there is a guaranteed Quest that requires the Player to defeat 10 Mega Mechsquitos and collect 2,000,000,000 of a certain color of Pollen. This Round grants the Player a Gold Cog Amulet upon completion.
- Upon reaching Round 20, there is a guaranteed Quest that requires the Player to defeat 20 Cogmowers and collect 60,000,000,000 of a certain color of Pollen. This Round grants the Player a Diamond Cog Amulet upon completion.
- Upon completing Round 25, the Challenge ends and grants the Player a Supreme Cog Amulet and the Robo Bear Cub Buddy (If not already owned) upon completion.
During and between Rounds, Cogs may be spent at Robo Bear's Shop.
All Cogs in the Player's Inventory are removed once the Challenge ends, which happens when either the Player hatches or transforms a Bee, the timer of the challenge Quest runs out, or if the Player presses the “Quit” button which appears on the Challenge Quest box.

Mobs[]
Tips[]
Pre-Round Preparations[]
- If you are aiming for a high score, you should use consumables, such as Super Smoothies. You are also able to use field boosts and winds during a round. Even if you're not aiming for a high score, doing so can still be useful.
- Giving Onett a Present grants the Super Smoothie buff as well as a 3x Mountain Top Field buff. It also gives a free Robo Pass.
- Attempt to save your quest rerolls or get the Reboot upgrade for an extra quest re-roll. Quest re-rolls are important if you get bad quests (i.e. being a red hive and getting two quests related to blue pollen, or a convert at hive quest).
- Don't be afraid to save up cogs if the options are bad. They can be spent later on other re-rolls, upgrades, or drives.
- Use the lock feature when necessary. If there is an upgrade that you need but cannot afford it, this feature will allow that specific upgrade to stay where it is until you select it. There is a lock beside each upgrade.
- Prioritize attack bees such as Precise Bees, Spicy Bees, Vicious Bees, and Windy Bees. Vicious Bee is especially useful as it can attack entire swarms of mobs with Impale. Windy Bees provide excellent crowd control by damaging multiple mobs at a time with Tornado.
- Digital Bee can freeze enemies and makes them receive more damage.
- Avoid picking a "Convert at Hive" quest, unless you are a Blue Hive or the required amount is low.
Tips During Rounds[]
- Always keep on your toes! Mechsquitoes will apply Mechsquito Toxin on you, which reduces Pollen and Player movespeed. This can quickly accumulate in later rounds and severely hamper your collection. Mega Mechsquitoes can also do considerable damage to a still player.
- Prioritize Cogturrets if possible. Cogturrets can make large swathes of the field dangerous with their rolling cogs, so try to stay near them so your Bees will attack them and take them down before they pile up and make the field impossible to navigate.
- In addition, Cogturrets only shoot their rolling cogs forward, to the left, to the right or backwards, so tracking where the rolling cogs will go and avoiding those spaces can be very helpful in dodging their cogs.
- If the Cogmower/Cogturret spam is becoming too great, use Star Saw (if you have it). Star Saw circles around you for 30 seconds after activation, and while it's difficult to hit Mechsquitoes and Mega Mechsquitoes (owing to their flying hitboxes), Cogmowers and Cogturrets can easily be hit with it, allowing you to quickly take down these threats if the Bees are preoccupied with Mechsquitoes and Mega Mechsquitoes.
- Finish the round quickly! A fast and decisive completion is key to a good run. As the round drags on, waves of enemies will pile up on each other, making them harder to clear. This in turn leads to a more cluttered field and a higher chance of death, ending in a death spiral that's sure to end in defeat (especially in later rounds).
- If you're a Blue Hive or a mid-game Bomb Hive, make sure to use both Crimson and Cobalt Bee as the synchronize upgrade can save you. Also, in general there are a ton of upgrades that synergize around bombs and Crimson and Cobalt bee.
- If you have any boost items active, such as Purple Potion or Super Smoothie when the round seems unbeatable, it is best to leave the challenge to give their buffs more time to be used in later sessions.
Rewards[]
After the challenge ends, a message box displays the rewards. The number of rewards received tends to increase with a higher score. The rewards also increase in quality and quantity relative to the player's level. A higher level will also give players higher-tier Cog Amulets. The player will also only receive four rewards (other than the amulet) in varying quantities (except for the drive, which is guaranteed to have only one).

Trivia[]
- When you complete a quest, you might briefly see a green 'Finish' button that's in the place of the 'Quit' button. It is unknown what purpose this button would serve, as the round automatically finishes once the quest(s) are completed.
- There is a glitch where after the timer ends, it disappears and the challenge doesn't end. In this period, you get infinite time to complete the quest. It is unknown why this glitch is caused, but it's most likely caused by lag.
- If you attempt to use a royal jelly on a bee or hatch an egg in-between Robo Bear Challenge rounds, it will prompt you with the message: "⚠ Hatching or transforming a bee will end your Robo Bear Challenge. Continue?⚠". Choosing "Yes" will end your Robo Bear Challenge, and "No" will cancel it.
- When in the quest picking menu, your bees are frozen in place.
- If the player ended the session through disconnecting, the player will not obtain the amulet of the session until they claim their hive when they rejoined.
- You can obtain Cogs outside of Robo Bear's Challenge. To do this, end RBC right after you kill a Golden Cogmower, however the cogs won't transfer into the next challenge.
- When you complete a round your balloon blessing will refresh.
- TurboTobyTwo was the first player who triumphed the Robo Bear Challenge.
- While receiving a quest, the players movespeed is set to 0, meaning it's impossible for them to move.
- If a bee isn't picked in the challenge, its gifted hive bonus, or any bonus on it's beequip doesn't apply.
- The final score is calculated with the following formula: Score = (5000 x Round Reached) + (1000 x Progress % made in round you lost) + (Total number of earned cogs)
- If the player manages to triumph the challenge, the score formula is instead: 125,000 + (Total number of earned cogs)
