Preliminary Research | Science. What's so great about science? Science gives us technology. Technology leads to efficiency. And efficiency means more honey faster! By studying different types of bees... I believe we can gain insights into how they work, and use those insights to increase their productivity! If you help me by doing some research, I'll enhance your bee swarm! Here's what you'll need to do: Collect 20,000 White pollen... Collect 10,000 pollen from the Strawberry Field... Collect 10,000 pollen from the Bamboo Field... And, most importantly... Discover 5 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- There are two ways to discover new bees: 1) Hatching eggs. Basic Eggs have a small chance of hatching into special types. But Silver, Gold, and Diamond Eggs ALWAYS hatch into special types. 2) Royal Jelly. Jelly [sic] transforms your existing bees into different Rare, Epic, or Legendary types. Here's what I'll need to enhance your bees: Collect 20,000 White Pollen... Collect 10,000 Pollen from the Strawberry Field... Collect 10,000 Pollen from the Bamboo Field... And discover 5 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 5 types of bees! And each one seems to work and behave a bit differently. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the conversion efficiency bonus to 25%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Biology Study | Biology is the science that studies life. It helps us understand how all living things work! That includes bees, bears, and even flowers. Zoology is the branch of biology that studies animals... Entomology is a branch of zoology that studies insects... And melittology is a branch of entomology that studies bees! I use many branches of biology in my studies. But they all relate to honey making somehow! Here's what I need for my next experiment: Collect 30,000 Red Pollen... Collect 20,000 Pollen from the Clover Field... Defeat 8 Ladybugs... Defeat 8 Rhino Beetles... And, most importantly... Discover 6 types of bees! Report back when you're research is complete.
-During- Each new experiment I do becomes more complex. As a result, they'll require more research from you! Here's what I need: Collect 30,000 Red Pollen... Collect 20,000 Pollen from the Clover Field... Defeat 8 Ladybugs... Defeat 8 Rhino Beetles... And discover 6 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 6 types of bees! Ah, and some very interesting notes on the behaviors of beetles. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the conversion efficiency bonus to 50%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Proving The Hypothesis | Scientific method allows us to reliably test things. By systematically observing and measuring things... We can see if my hypothesis is correct. My hypothosis [sic] is that if you do the following, I can enhance your bees! Collect 35,000 Blue Pollen... Collect 35,000 Pollen from the Pineapple Patch... Defeat 3 Mantises... Defeat 9 Rhino Beetles... And, most importantly... Discover 7 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- Each new experiment I do becomes more complex. As a result, they'll require more research from you. Here's the research I need from you this time: Collect 35,000 Blue Pollen... Collect 35,000 Pollen from the Pineapple Patch... Defeat 3 Mantises... Defeat 9 Rhino Beetles... And discover 7 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 7 types of bees! Ah, and some nice notes on the symbiosis between Mantis and Rhino Beetles. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 75%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Bear Botany | Bees and flowers go hand in hand. The flowers provide bees with nectar and the bees pollinate the flowers. Without bees, the flowers wouldn't be able to reproduce... And without flowers, the bees wouldn't be able to make honey! For our next project, we'll be doing some botany. Botany is the science of plants. I believe if we learn more about the flowers themselves. I'll be able to unlock more potential in your bees! Here's what we'll need: Collect 25,000 Pollen from the Dandelion Field... Collect 25,000 Pollen from the Sunflower Field... Collect 25,000 Pollen from the Blue Flower Field... Defeat 2 Spiders... And, most importantly... Discover 8 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- In the real world, a single bee can visit up to 5,000 flowers in a single day... there’s a reason for the saying “busy as a bee”. You should be pretty busy yourself, taking care of this: collect 25,000 pollen from the dandelion field... collect 25,000 pollen from the sunflower field... collect 25,000 pollen from the blue flower field... defeat 2 spiders... and discover 8 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 8 types of bees! Ah, and some valuable notes on how bees pollinate different types of flowers. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 100%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Kingdom Collection | Bears aren't so different from bees. We're related as members of the animal kingdom. That also includes you! Flowers and trees, well those are obviously plants. But mushrooms, those are fungi. an entirely different kingdom. The biological classifications of things are not always obvious. To get a true understanding, we need to look closer! Our next project involves collecting samples from all three of those animal kingdoms. Collect 75,000 from the Bamboo Field... Collect 35,000 from the Mushroom Field... Defeat 2 Spiders... And, most importantly... Discover 9 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- Animals, plants, fungi... Bateria [sic] and protists [sic] ... Each kingdom evolves differently, but they're all successful in their own ways. Here's what I need: Collect 75,000 Pollen from the Bamboo Field... Collect 35,000 Pollen from the Mushroom Field... And defeat 2 Spiders! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 9 types of bees! Ah, and some interesting notes comparing animal, plant, and fungi cells. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(Thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 125%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Defensive Adaptations | When the hive's threatened, bees are quick to attack. Swarming and stinging intruders, that's their means of defense. All living things have had to adapt to survive. Us as bears, we grew big and strong. Or intelligent in my case. All the creatures on this mountain took a different approach! Even the plants, let's take a closer look: Collect 60,000 Pollen from the Cactus Field... Collect 60,000 Pollen from the Rose Field... Defeat 4 Scorpions... Defeat 6 Rhino Beetles... And, most importantly... Discover 10 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete!
-During- Self-preservation isn't always about being strong. Being fast or smart can work just as well! Here's what we need for the next enhancement: Collect 60,000 Pollen from the Cactus Field... Collect 60,000 Pollen from the Rose Field... Defeat 4 Scorpions... Defeat 6 Rhino Beetles... And discover 10 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 10 types of bees! Ah, and some fascinating notes on different defensive adaptations. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(Thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 150%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Benefits Of Technology | What was life like before science? In some ways, slow and predictable... And in others, slow and cruel! Without efficient scoopers, a single drought can wipe out our entire honey supply. Without advanced pollen containers, we spent all day walking between the field and the hive. Without cannons and slingshots, we had to fight our way through the fields just to go to the store! It's thanks to the technology that we no longer live at the mercy of nature. Contribute to science and make life easier! Collect 75,000 Pollen from the Pumpkin Patch... Collect 75,000 Pollen from the Pine Tree forest... Defeat 2 Mantises... Defeat 1 Werewolf... And, most importantly... Discover 11 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete!
-During- Each new experiment I do becomes more complex. As a result, they'll require more research from you! Here's the research I need from you this time: Collect 75,000 Pollen from the Pumpkin Patch... Collect 75,000 Pollen from the Pine Tree Forest... Defeat 2 Mantises... Defeat 1 Werewolf... And discover 11 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 11 types of bees! And some interesting notes on the benefits of multitasking. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Spider Study | There's valuable information to be obtained by observing nature. Many of the problems we save in the fields of science and technology... Have already been solved by plants and animals! Today, I'm curious about spiders. I believe by observing how they move and build those complex webs... I'll be able to enhance your bee swarm! But I'm too busy to go down there myself, I'll need your help: Collect 120,00 White Pollen... Defeat 4 Spiders... And most importantly... Discover 12 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete!
-During- The silk spiders build their webs with its [sic] remarkable. It's lightweight but strong - able to trap very large bugs! I suspect we could engineer an even better pollen container using it. Anyway, hows the research coming along? This is what I need: Collect 120,00 White Pollen... Defeat 4 Spiders... And discover 12 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 12 types of bees! Ah, and some invaluable notes on the properties of spider-talk. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 200%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Roses And Weeds |
I consider myself to be a practical and rational bear. In line with that, I've always found some things funny... For example, how roses are considered so beautiful, whiledandelions are considered unsightly weeds. Do you think if dandelions were as hard to grow as roses, and roses grew as easily as dandelions, it would be the other way around? Let's take a closer look at both: Collect 100,000 Pollen from the Rose Field... Collect 30,000 Pollen from the Dandelion Field... Defeat 10 Ladybugs... Defeat 1 Werewolf... And, most importantly... Discover 13 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete. -During- Things like tastes and what people find pretty are not easy to explain with science. But it's possible! Here's what we'll need: Collect 100,000 Pollen from the Rose Field... Collect 30,000 Pollen from the Dandelion Field... Defeat 10 Ladybugs... Defeat 1 Werewolf... And discover 13 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 13 types of bees! Ah, and a deeper comparison between roses and dandelions. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 225%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Blue Review | Are there innate properties uniting all things blue? We know that blue bees work more efficiently in fields of blue flowers... And that blue Rhino Beetles tend to thrive in blue fields... Our intuition tells us that they must be bound by some underlying property. Something special about blue! But we can't just trust our intuition, we have to investigate scientifically. There might just be something special about blue that can enhance your bees! Collect 115,000 Pollen from the Pine Tree Forest... Collect 35,000 Pollen from the Blue Flower Field... Defeat 12 Rhino Beetles... Defeat 8 Mantises... And, most importantly... Discover 14 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.

Red / Blue Duality | Many things on this mountain are divided into groups, one red and one blue. They may look different, but they're actually quite similar. There are red and blue flowers, red and blue bees, and red and blue varieties of both "Bomb" and "Boost" Ability Tokens. What could have led to this parallelism? Are red and blue diametrically opposed? Perhaps they depend on each other? Let's tackle these questions with our experiment: Collect 240,000 Red Pollen, 240,000 Blue Pollen, Collect 240,000 Pollen from the Clover Field, Collect 100 Red Boost Tokens, Collect 100 Blue Boost Tokens, and most importantly, Discover 16 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.

Costs Of Computation | In the real world, hives can contain thousands of bees! Stimulating that many bees, however, would probably crash the servers... Each bee requires processing power to allow it to think and move. That's why there's a limit to the maximum size of hives in this game! But that number is plenty big enough for us to do some serious research. Let's get back to it: Collect 422,000 Pollen from the Pumpkin Patch... Collect 244,000 Pollen from the Spider Field... Defeat 16 Rhino Beetles... Defeat 8 Scorpions... Defeat 2 Werewolves... And most importantly... Discover 17 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.

From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% honey to pollen at a time. That brings an efficiency multiplier of 325%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Pollination Practice | Speaking of the real world, out there are bees produce honey out of nectar instead of pollen. But real bees still collect pollen! And that plays a vital role in plant reproduction. As bees travel from flower to flower, they collect pollen on their bodies and transfer it between plants. This pollinates the plants, allowing them to produce fruits and seeds. Many plants depend on bees specifically to pollinate them. Because of this, bees are vital for the survival of entire ecosystems! This includes your bees. Let's put them back to work. Collect 870,000 pollen... Collect 435,000 pollen from the Pineapple Patch... Defeat 13 Mantises... And most importantly... Discover 18 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- Each new experiment I do becomes more complex. As a result, they'll require more research from you! Here's the research I need from you this time: Collect 870,000 pollen... Collect 435,000 pollen from the Pineapple Patch... Defeat 13 Mantises... And discover 18 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 18 types of bees! Optimizing Abilities | A successful hive typically contains a variety of bees that play different roles. The bees on the mountain can be categorized into different groups based on the abilities they produce. Bees that produce "Haste" Ability Tokens help you move faster. Bees that produce "Focus" Ability Tokens help you collect more pollen by enabling critical hits! To best determine the optimal ratio of each type of bee, we'll need to employ a scientific method. Let's give it a shot: Collect 820,020 Blue Pollen... Collect 720,020 White Pollen... Collect 320,020 Pollen from the Sunflower Field... Collect 100 Haste Tokens... Collect 100 Focus Tokens... Defeat 3 Spiders... And most importantly... Discover 19 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.

Ready For Infrared | The colors we see are determined by the frequency and wavelength of electromagnetic radiation. Red has the longest wavelength and lowest frequency of all colors on the visible spectrum. If the wavelength were any longer, it would become infrared radiation, and we wouldn't be able to see at all! But I suspect there are some flowers and bees out there that would look brilliant if we could. Why don't we investigate red a bit further: Collect 1,818,181 Red Pollen... Collect 636,363 Pollen from the Strawberry Field... Collect 424,242 Pollen from the Mushroom Field... Collect 313 Red Boost Tokens... Defeat 16 Ladybugs... Defeat 10 Scorpions... And most importantly... discover 20 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.

Breaking Down Badges | The math behind honeymaking becomes increasingly complex as you become a more proficient beekeeper. As you progress, you gain a wide variety of multipliers that combine to speed up the grind! For example, consider the "Honey Per Pollen" statistic. It determines how much honey you get for each pollen you convert into honey. It starts at 100%, which equates to 1 honey per pollen but can be increased... Through equipment, Gifted Bee-hive bonuses, and Badges. Badges are awarded to beekeepers who reach a certain milestone. Each one provides a permanent stat boost. For example, obtaining the Sunflower Cadet Badge increases you Honey Per Pollen by 5%! As you obtain more Sunflower Badges, that bonus gets higher. You can see all the obtainable Badges and the bonuses they grant you in the Badge Menu. For our next experiment, let's take a closer look at Badges. Earn 1 Sunflower Badge. Earn 2 Battle Badges. Earn 2 Bamboo Badges. Collect 2,525,252 Pollen from the Bamboo Field... Collect 524 Blue Boost Tokens... Defeat 24 Rhino Beetles... And, most importantly... Discover 21 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- Each new experiment I do becomes more complex. As a result, they'll require more research from you! Here's the research I need from you this time: Earn 1 Sunflower Badge... Earn 2 Battle Badges... Earn 2 Bamboo Badges. Collect 2,525,252 Pollen from the Bamboo Field... Collect 524 Blue Boost Tokens... Defeat 24 Rhino Beetle... And discover 21 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 21 types of bees! Ah, and some insightful statistics on the gains yielded from Badge Bonuses. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 425%! As a bonus, I'd like you to have this: some [Enzymes]. Using those will allow you to instantly convert 10% of pollen to honey for 10 minutes. It also speeds up the conversion rate by x1.25! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Subsidized Agriculture | I may be a technologically savvy bear… But I’m no stranger to working the land. Here on the mountain, we live in a predominantly agrarian society. Our primary export is honey, but we’re also known for the quality of our fruits and seeds. While it’s certainly possible to harvest berries and seeds from fields with old fashioned gathering… It’s much faster to tend to the magical Sprouts that sometimes pop up. Collecting pollen from fields containing Sprouts will cause the Sprouts to grow. When they reach their maximum size, they pop - scattering treats and other rewards all around the field. Working with others is essential to growing Sprouts, especially the rarer ones. Be sure to split up when the Sprouts pop so you can most optimally share the rewards. For our next experiment, I want to investigate the Sprout's growth more closely. To start you off, I’m giving you a [Magic Bean]. Activate the [Magic Bean] while standing in a field, and a Sprout will immediately grow. I’m aware of the irony of a Science Bear dealing with magical items, by the way. They’re not really magic, you know. Here’s the full list of what I’ll need: Collect 150 Sprout Tokens… Collect 100 Strawberry Tokens… Collect 100 Pineapple Tokens… And, most importantly… Discover 22 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- Sprouts spawn naturally fairly frequently, about once every 20 minutes. Also, you can obtain [Magic Beans] as rare drops from monsters, or as rare rewards from quests. To complete this experiment faster, it may be wise to team up with others. Here's the list of everything I'll [sic] to complete the experiment: Collect 150 Sprout Tokens... Collect 100 Strawberry Tokens... Collect 100 Pineapple Tokens... And discover 22 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 22 types of bees! Ah, and a finely detailed breakdown of the mechanics behind Sprout growth! By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 450%! As an extra reward, I'd like you to have [sic] one of these: a bottle of [Oil]. Using this will reduce friction on you and your bees... Allowing both you and your swarm to move 25% faster for 10 minutes! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Meticulously Crafted | Did you know that the device you're playing this game on... Is actually nothing more than a clever combination of plastics, metals, and rock? By precisely arranging simple materials in certain ways... We can create amazing tools that seem to work like magic! That process is similar to the crafting we do on this mountain. By combining ingredients we harvest from the fields and monsters... We're capable of creating more advanced and helpful items and tools. Inside the Badge Bearer's Guild beyond 15 Bee Gate, you'll find a large blender. Using that, you can combine items like [Royal Jelly] and [Treats]... Into more advanced items like [Extracts], [Oil], [Enzymes] and [Glue]! [Extracts] increase pollen gathered of a certain color by 25%... [Oil] increases the movement speed of your collector and bees by 25%... [Enzymes] increases [sic] instant conversion by 10%, and conversion rate by 25%... [Glue] increases the pollen gathered by you and your bees by 25%... And they all last 10 minutes. Perhaps the easiest ingredient to craft is [Gumdrops]. Each one requires just 3 [Strawberries], 3 [Blueberries], and 3 [Pineapples]. Let's experiment with crafting. Earn 15 Badges... Craft 10 Ingredients with the Blender... Collect 3,333,333 Pollen from the Pumpkin Patch... Collect 3,333,333 Pollen from the Cactus Field... And, most importantly... Discover 23 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- To get inside the Badge Bearer's Guild, you'll need to obtain 15 Badges. You can see all the obtainable badges in the Badge Menu. Once you're in there, you're free to use the Blender... Which allows you combine [sic] ingredients into valuable items like [Extracts], [Oil], [Enzymes], and [Glue]! The cheapest items to craft, however, are [Gumdrops]. I'd suggest crafting those for the purpose of this experiment[sic]. Here's a rundown of what I need: Earn 15 Badges. Craft 10 Ingredients with the Blender... Collect 3,333,333 Pollen from the Pumpkin Patch... Collect 3,333,333 Pollen from the Cactus Field... And discover 23 types of bees -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 23 types of bees! Ah, and some tell-tale signs of some down-and-dirty crafting all over you and your bees! By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 475%! As a bonus, I'd like you to take these: a [Red Extract] and a [Blue Extract]. Using those will boost pollen of the matching color by 25% for 10 minutes! They're also used as materials for crafting certain accessories, like [Red and Blue Guards]. Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Smart, Not Hard |
Working harder doesn't necessarily yield better results. In most cases, working smarter is far more valuable than simply exerting more effort. Technology itself is the manifestation of this philosophy. By using our minds to create tools to help us out... Jobs that used to take days can be finished in just a matter of minutes! Field Boosters are a perfect example of this. These machines enhance specific fields for 15 minutes. During that time, you can gather over double the amount of pollen you usually would. You can find the Red Field Booster in the Red HQ... The Blue Field Booster in the Blue HQ... And the general Field Booster beyond 25 Bee Gate. I believe by taking a closer look at how they work, I may be able to enhance your swarm. Use the Field Booster 1 Time... Use the Red Field Booster 1 Time... Use the Blue Field Booster 1 Time... Craft 14 Ingredients from the Blender... Collect 4,444,444 White Pollen... Collect 4,444,444 Blue Pollen... Collect 4,444,444 Red Pollen... And, most importantly... Discover 24 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete. -During- Each new experiment I do becomes more complex. As a result, they'll require more research from you! Here's the research I need from you this time: Use the Field Booster 1 Time... And discover 24 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 24 types of bees! Ah, and some revealing notes on the inner workings of Field Boosters. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 500%! I'd also like you to have one of these: a pouch of [Glitter]. This substance is a potent fertilizer [sic]. By sprinkling it on a field of your choice, you can instantly give it a boost! It's also used as a material for crafting various accessories. Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Limits of Language |
Understanding people is way more complicated than understanding machines. For one thing, different people speak different languages... And even among those who speak the same language, words can have different meanings! As a scientist, this poses a fascinating problem. Could it be possible to create a device that could eliminate this barrier once and for all? I'm talking about a universal [Translator]! Working to create such a device has been a private hobby of mine for years... And recently I believe I've made a breakthrough! If you help me finish this experiment, I'll be able to finish an early prototype. With that [Translator], you may be able to communicate with someone new. Here's what I'll need to make this device a reality: Earn 10 Hotshot Badges... Collect 250 Token Link Tokens... Collect 5,000,000 Pollen from the Dandelion Field... Craft 50 Ingredients with the Blender... Defeat 50 Ants... And, most importantly... Discover 25 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete. -During- There is structure to all languages. It differs between them all, but the function of each structure the same: It allows what we say to have meant that we can express to others. I believe it may be possible to illuminate the structure [sic] beneath those structures... And use that to create a device capable of translating every language imaginable! Here's the list of what I'll need to help make this a reality: Earn 10 Hotshot Badges... Collect 250 Token Link Tokens... Collect 5,000,000 Pollen from the Dandelion Field... Craft 50 Ingredients with the Blender... Defeat 50 Ants... And discover 25 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 25 types of bees! Ah, and an insightful breakdown of the non-verbal communication methods of ants. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 525%! And, most importantly, I believe I now know just what I need to complete this... My first working [Translator]! With this device, you may be able to communicate with new creatures! But keep in mind, once you give it to someone, the decision is permanent. If you complete 5 more quests, I may be able to complete another. Please give it a test! I'm anxious to see how it performs. |
Patterns and Probability |
How often do bees transform into Legendary types? When's the next time we can expect Vicious Bee to attack? Many things in the world seem random at first... But over time a pattern can reveal the order behind almost all seemingly random occurrences. For example, you may have noticed that certain objects on the mountain seem to come to life... And blow bubbles at the fields every once in a while. The bubbles they blow create Sparkles on flowers and collecting from those flowers... Can give you Sparkle Tokens containing honey, treats, and other special rewards. It may seem like they do it completely at random, but the truth is they're somewhat predictable. After one appears, they will never appear again for at least 10 minutes. And the odds of them not appearing at all within a single hour is incredibly small. The same can be said for Vicious Bee's attacks. Measuring the frequency of these events helps up predict when they'll occur again in the future. And recording the results of things like [Royal Jelly] transformations and monster drops... Help us create a clear picture of their probabilities [sic]. For my next experiment, I'd like you to track statistics on some seemingly random events. Collect 77 Sparkles Tokens... Collect 7,777,777 Pollen from the Clover Field... Defeat 7 Vicious Bees... Craft 7 Ingredients with the Blender... Use 7 Royal Jellies... And, most importantly... Discover 26 types of bees! Report back when you're research is complete. -During- If you see dark [sic] patch of flowers that seems to shine... Be sure to collect from those flowers. You'll likely find something special [sic] That phenomenon is known as Sparkles, and it can be produced in 2 ways. First, various plants and objects on this map, such as the Bubble Blower to my right [sic, left]... And the Pineapple to my left [sic, right], sometimes reveal their face. When they do, they'll blow bubbles towards the flowers, covering them in Sparkles. Second, when night falls, a swarm of Fireflies roams the map. When they land on flowers, they cause them to Sparkle as well. You'll need to collect tokens from Sparkles for this experiment. Here's the full rundown: Collect 77 Sparkles Tokens... Collect 7,777,777 Pollen from the Clover Field... Defeat 7 Vicious Bees... Craft 7 Ingredients with the Blender... Use 7 Royal Jellies... And discover 26 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 26 types of bees! Ah, and some informative graphs on the frequency of natural events. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 550%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Chemical Analysis |
Through years of diligent experimentation... We've made countless advancements in honeymaking technology. But the discovery that's most surprising, and least well understood... Is the use of [Gumdrops] to immediately gain honey from the flowers themselves! Scatter [Gumdrops] on a field, and it will become covered in puddles. Collect from those puddles to gain a bonus, it's honey. We call the honey gained in this way "Goo", and it has some seemingly other-worldly properties... For my next experiment, I want to demystify goo and better understand how it works. Using that knowledge, I believe I'll be able to unlock even more potential in your swarm! Take these [Gumdrops] and share them with others to complete these tasks. Using them on boosted fields will yield [sic] much more Goo per [Gumdrop]. Here's what I'll need: Collect 270,000 Goo from White Flowers... Collect 270,000 Goo from Red Flowers... Collect 270,000 Goo from Blue Flowers... Collect 270,000 Goo from the Sunflower Field... Collect 2,700,000 Pollen from the Sunflower Field... Collect 2,700,000 Pollen from the Blue Flower Field... Craft 27 Ingredients from the Blender... Defeat 27 Ladybugs... And, most importantly... Discover 27 types of bees! Report back when you're research is complete -During- [Gumdrops] were introduced to this mountain by Gummy Bear. Ever since we've continued to use [Gumdrops] to increase our honey yields [sic]. As an alien technology, we don't yet understand the mechanism behind how it works... I'm hoping to demystify them once and for all, but I'll need your help. Collect 270,000 Goo from White Flowers... And discover 27 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 27 types of bees! Ah, and an illuminating breakdown of the chemical composition of Goo. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the efficiency multiplier to a total of 575%! As a bonus, I'd like you to have this bottle of [Glue]. It's created out of [Gumdrops], and using it increases bee gather pollen and tools by 25% for 10 minutes! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
Mark Mechanics | Bee and many other creatures use a chemical called pheromones... To communicate with each other [sic] chemically, through scent. They release a certain pheromone to alert other bees about threats... Another to keep track of where they've been, another to tell others where to go... And many more for all sorts of situations! Pheromones are simulated in this game through the "Mark" bee abilities. These produce signs on random areas of the field that grant boosts when you stand in their proximity. It's the visual representation of a bee using pheromones to tell you where to go. If the circles surrounding two Marks overlap, you gain the boosts of both by standing near either. Having many Marks active and overlapping the field increase their effectiveness. And makes it much easier to activate many of them at a time. As of right now, only Stubborn Bee, Carpenter Bee and Festive Bee produce Marks. Let's take a closer look at pheromone and Mark's abilities. By better understanding how bees communicate. I believe I'll be able to enhance your swarm [sic] Collect 282 Mark Tokens... Collect 28,282,828 Pollen from the Pine Tree Forest... Collect 2,828,282 Pollen from the Mushroom Field... Defeat 28 Fire Ants... Craft 28 Ingredients with the Blender... Defeat 2 Werewolfs [sic]... And, most importantly... Discover 28 types of bees! Report back when you're research is complete.

Meditating On Phenomenon | Many things appear different, but when you take a closer look, they're actually the same. Or at least, very closely related. Some examples of this are obvious, like ice and water. And others are harder to understand, like space and time. It may seem crazy to suggest that space and time are the same things... But there's evidence supporting this, although it's difficult to grasp. The theory unifying space and time can predict some things more accurately [sic]... Than theories that suggest they're separate. For that practical reason, we disregard our intuition and seemingly strange things to be true. But there's something to be said about our intuitions and impressions. Things that, by all scientific accounts, are the same... It can produce distinctly different feelings in our minds when we experience them. We can understand feelings, to a certain degree, using neuroscience... But from a more holistic standpoint, they seem to escape scientific explanation. This starts to seem like a philosophical problem, rather than scientific. But, as a bear of science, that won't stop me from trying to understand them methodically! Preform these seemingly similar tasks, and reflect on both the distinct feeling you experience... And the ways in which they are essentially the same. Report back what you find, and I believe I'll be able to use those observations... To greater understand the nature of conscious experience - perhaps existence itself... And, most importantly, enhance the honeymaking [sic] efficiency of your bees. Beesperanto | I'm making further progress in my quest to answer the problem of language once and for all! And the implications of my findings will make shockwaves [sic] in all fields imaginable. Without the barrier of language... We'll be able to directly communicate our exact demands to the bees... And the bees may even have secrets of their own that could help us in return! The economy of the mountain will likely grow astronomically... Once we're able to better communicate honey export deals with bears far and wide. Perhaps one day there may even be peace between the bear, monsters, and bugs... If we're able to talk with each other [sic] and understand each other [sic] motivations! This is yet another example of the benefits of science and technology. Every seemingly impossible struggle can be overcome with the use of our minds. Help me complete this experiment, and I'll be able to finish my second [Translator]. Our findings may shape the course of history: Obtain a Carpenter Bee... Collect 200 Sunflower Seed Tokens... And, most importantly... Discover 30 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- The importance of language can't be overstated. There's some evidence to suggest that thought itself... Is completely reliant on language. That means that we may all experience the world in different ways... Depending on the structure and emphasis of the language we use. There's arguably some good that comes from that difference. It allows us to have different perspectives... Which helps us reveal and teach each other [sic] new things. But it arguably leads to more problems. Especially regarding maintaining peace and communicate efficiently. That's why I'm passionate about my [Translator] project! Here's what I need from you to progress: Obtain a Carpenter Bee... Collect 200 Sunflower Seed Tokens... Collect 400 Pineapple Tokens... Collect 40,000,000 White Pollen... Collect 800,000 Goo from the Strawberry Field... Collect 800,000 Goo from the Bamboo Field... But keep in mind, once you give it to someone, the decision is permanent. Next week, I'll have 5 more quests that may allow me to create another. |
Hive Minded Bias | Did you know that not all bees live in hives? In fact, most species of bees live solitary lives! Instead of communal hives, some bees live alone in hollow sticks. Others [sic] live in holes burrowed into trees, and others even live in the ground! Often, we become so used to seeing the same type of specimens... And we forget just how varied life on this planet is! By fixating on just what's directly in front of us... We tend to make false assumptions about the whole picture. That's why it's important to expose yourself to new ideas, sights, and places. It's our only defense against preconceptions that are biased and misguided. For our next experiment, let's get out of our element. Collect 44,444,444 Pollen from the Cactus Field... Collect 44,444,444 Pollen from the Spider Field... Collect 444,444 from the Ant Field... Feed 44 Moon Charms to your Bees... Use 4 Stingers... Use 1 Enzymes [sic]... Use 1 Oils [sic]... Collect 44 Inspire Tokens... Defeat 44 Fire Ants... Craft 44 Ingredients with the Blender... Defeat 1 King Beetle... And, most importantly... Discover 31 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.

Mushroom Measurement Monotony | Science isn't always exciting. For every revolutionary finding, countless experiments revealed nothing remarkable at all. Much of the labor of science is just collecting samples, tracking numbers... That describes the mundane but essential bulk of our work. It's not all about fancy technology and explosive chemical reactions! And for this next experiment, all I need is a lot of data on mushrooms and their effect on the pollen of nearby flowers. Collect 150,000,000 Pollen from the Mushroom Field... And, most importantly... Discover 32 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete.
-During- How could collecting pollen from the Mushroom Field be boring? You're surrounded by a bunch of fun guys! Heh heh. (It's a pun. Mushrooms are classified in the kingdom of life known as fungi, remember?) Collect 150,000,000 Pollen from the Mushroom Field... And discover 32 types of bees! -Completion- Fascinating! So there are at least 32 types of bees! Ah, and some unsurprising measurements on the negligible effect of mushrooms on the pollen of nearby [text cut off?]. By studying these, I believe I can unlock some potential in your swarm! Hmm... ...(thinking)... AH HA! There we go! From here on out, your bees will be able to convert 25% more pollen to honey at a time. That brings the conversion efficiency bonus to 700%! Report back to me when you're ready to do more research. |
The Power of Information | Information is power. When you're more informed, you're better capable of making accurate predictions. The implications of that fact spread across all aspects of our lives. Complex tools are only made possible by the sum of information regarding the mechanics behind how they work, Collected and passed down through time in books and documents, from teacher to student. Advertisers who have amassed huge quantities of data on the habits of potential consumers Are much more likely to successfully tune and target their products to the masses, resulting in more sales. More sales result in more money, and we all know money is power! In times of conflict, spies and informants quite literally seek information regarding their enemies, which can be used to undermine their plans, and change the tides of war. All great movements throughout the history of civilization can be traced back... To the accumulation of information, and it's [sic] employment in making accurate predictions. Let's amass heaps of information to help power your hive into the next epoch of honeymaking efficiency! Collect 330,000,000 White Pollen... Collect 11,000,000 Goo... Defeat 110 Army Ants... Collect 5,500 Bomb Tokens... Collect 3,300 Token Link Tokens... Collect 880 Mark Tokens... Collect 440 Tokens from Sparkles... Use the Strawberry Dispenser 3 Times... Use the Blueberry Dispenser 3 Times... Use the Glue Dispenser 1 Time... Craft 22 Ingredients with the Blender... Defeat 5 Vicious Bees... Defeat 1 Tunnel Bear... And, most importantly... Discover 33 types of bees! Report back when your research is complete. -During- Many large companies deal with information as to their primary product. Even seemingly insignificant collections of data regarding the mundane behaviors and habits of people like [text cut off?] It can be worth millions of dollars! Why? Because there's nearly an infinite number of ways to obtain useful information from that data when its collected in large enough quantities! Trends in tastes, attitudes, and behaviors... It can be tracked and spotted early using statistics to analyze that pool of data. For anyone who seeks to influence other people, being able to predict and understand them is key. And information is what makes accurate predictions possible! Let's collect collect [sic] some now: Collect 330,000,000 White Pollen... Collect 11,000,000 Goo... Defeat 110 Army Ants... Exclusive Beesmas 2018 Dialogue | Enjoying the lights I strung up? You are given a choice to give Science Bear a present or continue talking like normal. You give him a present.Ah yes, a Beesmas Gift! I'll have you know I'm hard to impress. Let's see... Oh! A textbook documenting rare, peculiar, and endangered languages! Oh, look, unspoken language too: smoke signals, sign language, Silbo Gomero... This may offer some valuable insights that'll help forward my Translator project! Thank you very much. And here's something for you too, of course! |
Conclusion (before last 5 translator quests were added) | I'm performing some research that will bring me closer to building a third [Translator]. Check back with me next weekend and I'll have more experiments for us to do. |
Conclusion | That's all the experiments I can perform for now. Check back with me after the game updates. |
Exclusive Beesmas 2020 Dialogue | Beesmas is amazing! But it sure keeps us busy. You are given a choice to give a present to Science Bear or continue talking like normal. You choose to give him a present. Of, of course! Time to exchange our gifts. Let's see what you've brought me... Fascinating! A BI-84 scientific calculator! These reliable devices are the standard for universities. Despite being unchanged for over 15 years, they still sell for their original price! Anyways, now for your gifts! Some [Gumdrops], [Neonberries]... And the [Conical Flask] Ornament! With that on the Beesmas Tree, you'll receive the following boosts: +25% Convert Rate +25% Capacity in the Pineapple Patch And +25% Convert Rate at the Hive! That ought to help make this Beesmas productive. Thanks again for all your help. Happy Honeydays! |
Drive Series[]

Repairing The White Drive | A [Broken Drive]? Peculiar... I've been doing research on the strange Robo Bear near the Rose Field. It seems to be a machine designed to challenge beekeepers with advanced challenges. If my findings are correct, that [Broken Drive] might be essential for its operation! And with your help, I think I can repair the drive into a [White Drive]! I'll need you to gather some resources, and charge it up with a few activities. If we fix the [White Drive], we'll be one step closer to activating the Robo Bear! I'm curious to see what kind of intelligence an artificial Bear could possess...
-During- N/A -Completion- This is everything I need to repair the [Broken Drive]! Just a moment... ...(clink clank)... Success! We've restored the [Broken Drive] into a [White Drive]! With this, we're one step closer to repairing the Robo Bear. But there are 3 other Drives necessary for its operation... And unfortunately, I don't have any leads. Perhaps try talking to the other bears? They may have clues regarding the location of the other Drives. Imagine: a mechanical bear with all the capabilities of a biological one. A robot that can think... Could such a thing really be possible? If so, the limits of technology are pushing beyond our wildest imagination. |
Corrupting The Glitched Drive | Ah, I see you've aquired the [Red Drive] and [Blue Drive]! With these, we're almost ready to repair the Robo Bear. But if my calculations are correct, there's still one more drive to go: The [Glitched Drive]! While you were busy, I've been researching how we might be able to construct one. I've rigged together a device that produces strange effects on random flower fields... It seems to corrupt their data somehow, in a way that could be very beneficial to honeymaking. You see, when you collect an ability token on a field that's glitching out or corrupting... There is a chance that the token might duplicate! The duplicated tokens will hover over the field. Unlike regular ability tokens, these must be collected by standing beneath them for 1 second. For this quest, I'll try to glitch out and corrupt the fields. When I do, I'll let you know which field has been affected. It'll be your job to collect duplicated ability tokens on those fields. With enough duped tokens and a few other materials, I believe I'll be able to construct a [Glitched Drive]! Let's get to work.
-During- N/A -Completion- Fantastic! This is all I need to construct the [Glitched Drive]. And just in time too, my field corrupting device seems to be giving out... Let me solder this all together. Just a moment. ...(zzzzip zap)... ...(clink clank)... Success! The [Glitched Drive] is complete! And with that, we've obtained all 4 drives necessary to repair Robo Bear. I'm incredibly curious to see what such a seemingly sophisticated device has in store for us. Is it a new virtual companion? An automated quest line generator? Maybe even an artificial general intelligence! Take these drives to Robo Bear and lets find out. The assembly process shouldn't be too complicated. |

Isn't it fascinating - Beesmas in July! And seemingly without a cause. Rather concerning. Nevertheless, there must be an answer. I'd typically look into it - but I'm a bit busy at the moment. You see, It's [sic] my duty each year to string up Beesmas lights on the mountain. I've hung them up, but I'm having difficulties getting them to turn on. I believe I've identified the source malfunction, but I need some items for the repair job. Could you gather them for me? Let's illuminate the mountain together!
-During- N/A -Completion- Fantastic! That's everything I need to get these lights operational. Just a moment ...(twist twist)...(click clack)... Ah ha! They're on! With the Beesmas Lights working, they can occasionally spawn 🌟 Falling Beesmas Lights 🌟 as you gather! You can see where they're going to fall marked as glowing green disks. If you catch them, they'll convert pollen in your bag to honey, and give you a short x2 pollen boost! Beesmas Decorations aren't just for looks - they're great for productivity as well. Now that that's complete, I'll investigate this strange seasonal distruption. [sic] Thank you, and Merry Beesmas, apparently! |

I've been investigating the peculiar robot that's been installed near the Rose Field. It seems to require 4 different types of [Drives] to operate. I've been working on constructing a [Red Drive] with the hopes of getting that robot working. But I've got a responsibility to Beesmas that will have to come first. It's my job each year to get the Beesmas Lights functional. But they keep going out! I think I've identified the problem. The Windy Bee has been knocking them around with it's [sic] gusts! We'll need to scare it off and repair the damage. If you work on the lights, I'll work on the [Red Drive]. Together, we can make efficient progress on both endeavors at once. Convert 697,774 Pollen to Honey at the hive... Use 1 [Red Extract]... Use 1 [Blue Extract]... Collect 11 Tokens from Fireflies... And collect 11 Tokens from Wild Windy Bees. To find Windy Bee, keep an eye out for clouds hovering over fields. Windy Bee always hides within a cloud, and will attack you if you jump into it! It will usually spawn at least once per hour.
-During- N/A -Completion- Fantastic! Thanks to your effort, I believe I'll be able to get the lights working. Just a moment ...(twist twist)...(click clack)... There they go! See, decorations aren't just for looks - they're great for productivity as well. Now for the other task at hand. I've managed to repair the [Red Drive], and I want you to take it. If you can find the other 3 [Drives], you'll be able to activate the Robo Bear. I've done some research and have learned that a [White Drive] is for sale in Bee Bear's Catalogue. I've also spoken to Dapper Bear, whose [sic] told me that he's collected a [Blue Drive] in his travels. As far as the [Glitched Drive] goes... I suspect that Bee Bear might have a lead. I'm very curious to find out what that robot's function is. Anyway, thank you for the help with the lights. Happy Honeydays! |

Oh, good thing you're here! I'll need your help. I'm having some technical difficulties with the Beesmas Lights I recently strung up. They won't turn on. I've investigated their circuitry and believe I've identified the problem. But in order to solve it, I'll need you and your bees to gather some resources. These lights are important! Beesmas decorations have been shown to increase the happiness And thus the work yield of bees in many peer-reviewed studies Twinkling Beesmas Lights may inspire a sense of magic... But the psychological effects they have on us, inclding [sic] their capacity to reduce stress levels, aren't just magic - they're scientifically verifiable! Ok. Here's what we'll need to get the lights working: Collect 654,321 pollen... Use 3 Micro-Converters... Collect 123 "Boost" Ability Tokens... Collect 12 tokens from Fireflies... And collect 1 hour of Nectar! You can collect Nectar from Planters placed in flower fields. Placing a Planter on a flower field allows it to grow while you're in game. As it grows, it collects pollen, random items, and Nectar. Nectar is a boost that improves your honeymaking. there are 5 types of Nectar, and each field gives a different type. Standing near a Planter allows your bees to sip Nectar from it. You also gain a good amount of Nectar when you harvest a planter. Be sure to let it grow first! To get started, here's a [Paper Planter]. You can purchase more in Pro Bear's shop.

The tradition of hunting eggs in ROBLOX has a long history. It started all the way back in the distant year of 2008. Back then, eggs would drop from the sky and players would scramble to collect them. Over time, the Egg Hunt became a more structured event, far more fleshed out. Last year, for example, there was an elaborate exploration-based platforming game... With pretty complex movement controls, and many intricate worlds to explore! This year, we have the pleasure of being a part of a collective Egg Hunt effort, In which different games across ROBLOX provide small challenges, each rewarding a unique egg! Here on the mountain, we're giving ours away in exchange for 3 [Marshmallow Bees]. And if you complete this simple quest, I've got one for you! Collect 8,000 pollen from the Pineapple Patch... Collect 4,000 pollen from the Spider Field... Collect 2,000 pollen from the Clover Field... And collect 100 Honey Tokens!
-During- ROBLOX is unique in all that it combines. It's at once a game engine, game platform, and social media network. It's this unique combination that makes an event like this year's Egg Hunt possible. Collect 8,000 pollen from the Pineapple Patch... Collect 4,000 pollen from the Spider Field... Collect 2,000 pollen from the Clover Field... And collect 100 Honey Tokens! -Completion- The history of ROBLOX's Egg Hunts is fascinating and reflects this history of ROBLOX as a whole. As it evolved from a simpler sandbox building game with a focus on physics simulation, Into the prominent gaming and social media platform we know today, The Egg Hunts became more polished and larger in scope as well! This year's collective Egg Hunt highlights many different players made games, Reinforcing the idea of ROBLOX as a versatile engine, with a diverse community of developers. In theory at least, heh! Good work. These are for you. |

Trivia[]
- Science Bear uses the Superhero Animation Pack.
- He had the fewest number of quests out of the permanent bears before the 7/11/2018 update.
- He is the only bear to have "discovering bee types" as a requirement for completing his quests.
- Science Bear is the 3rd to last quest bear on the map, the second being Polar Bear and the last being Spirit Bear.
- Just like Panda Bear, Mother Bear, Black Bear, and Bee Bear, he is self-aware that he is in the game; during the 'Costs of Computation' quest, he remarks that actual beehives contain thousands of bees, but simulating that would crash the servers; and if the player talks to him after finishing all of his quests, he tells them to wait for more updates. In 'Mark Mechanics', he states that Pheromones are 'simulated in this game' through Mark abilities. Also, in 'Meticulously Crafted', he says “the device that you’re playing this game on”.
- Science Bear is based on the spectacled bear.
- Additionally, Science Bear wears goggles. Another word for "goggles" is "spectacles".
- He's one of the two bears to give a unique ability after every quest, the other being Polar Bear.
- He's one of the three quest givers to give an ability after every quest, the other two are Polar Bear and Honey Bee.
- Science Bear is Onett's least favorite bear to write dialogue for because of his long script, as indirectly referenced during the Star Journey 2 quest.
- Science Bear is the only bear to give translators.
- Science Bear originally had 11 quests, which was increased to 16 in the 4/27/2018 update. This was bumped up to 26 in the 11/25/2018 update. Subsequently, it rose to 31 in the 12/19/2018 update.
- Science Bear, Bee Bear, Spirit Bear, Black Bear, and Brown Bear are the only bears to require pollen from the Mountain Top Field.
- In one of his quests, Science Bear gives a code "GumdropsForScience", which gives 15 gumdrops.
- He is the third quest giver that requires players to defeat Tunnel Bear, the first being Panda Bear, the second being Onett and the fourth being Bubble Bee Man.
- Many of the honey rewards for Science Bear's quests are based around important mathematical constants, such as pi (quests 1 & 31), e (quest 13), powers of 2 (quest 26), the square root of 2 (quests 7 & 25), and the square root of 3 (quest 11).
- He is the first bear that requires the player to collect pollen from the Ant Field, the second being Black Bear.
- 'Beesperanto' (quest) is a portmanteau of the words bee and Esperanto, which is a language made in the 19th century with the intention of being easy to learn and a way for people of different cultures to communicate easily.
- If the player completed the "Epistemological Endeavor" quest before its nerf, upon entering the game, they would receive a message rewarding them with 100 tickets and 10 magic beans.
- If the player gave Science Bear a Present during Beesmas 2018, they would get: x3 Glue, x5 Royal Jellies, Enzymes, Oil buff, Enzymes Buff, Glue buff, and Pineapple Patch Boost x4.
- In the quest "Breaking Down Badges", Science Bear says that Sunflower Field Badges give more Honey Per Pollen. However, as of the 4/17/2019 Update, Sunflower Field badges grant capacity bonuses.
- He is the first bear to wear accessories, with his glasses and lab coat. Other bears that also do this include Sun Bear with his sunglasses, his Mondo Belt Bag, and his Beekeeper Boots, and Spirit Bear, with her Petal Wand and her Petal Belt.
- Epistemology is the theory of knowledge.
- He, Panda Bear, Black Bear and Spirit Bear are the only bears to mention/have a code.
- In total, he gives 210 Tickets in his quests.
- His quests often require blending with the blender, collecting goo, collecting pollen from a number of fields, and defeating mobs.
- In the quest "Subsidised Agriculture", Science Bear says that oil increases bee and player movespeed by 25%, but it has been changed to x1.2 bee and player movespeed.
- Science Bear is the only bear to give a quest that requires to obtain a certain bee. The quest "Beesperanto" requires you to obtain a Carpenter Bee.
- Science Bear's Beesmas 2020 gift, the BI-84 calculator, is a reference to the TI-84 calculator produced by Texas Instruments.
- After starting Science Bear's Corrupting The Glitched Drive quest, as long as the 'Collect 1024 Duped Tokens' part is incomplete, Science Bear will indefinitely corrupt fields. After that part is finished, Science Bear will stop corrupting fields.
- Science Bear is the first and only bear that requires you to collect pollen with specific tools, being the Spark Staff, and the Porcelain Dipper.
- The quest "Corrupting the Glitched Drive" used to require collecting 2,048 duped ability tokens. This was nerfed to 1,024 duped tokens in the 1/12/24 update.
