Swirled Wax

"A spiraled hunk of beeswax. Used to redetermine the stats of a Bee's Beequip."

Swirled Wax is an inventory item and a type of wax that can be used on a Beequip to reroll its stats. Beequips with higher potential have a greater chance of having better stats when rerolled. Swirled wax has Upgrade Value of 0.

When used on a Beequip, it will change its stats. If the Beequip has waxes used on it, it will alter the enhancements as well.

When a swirled wax is applied to a Beequip, a message pops up saying:

The Wax altered the Beequip's stats

Sometimes, the stats won't show any changes when you use a swirled wax. Most of the time, the bug can be fixed by rejoining the game.

Ways to Obtain

• Crafting it via Blender for:
  • 3 Hard Waxes
  • 9 Soft Waxes
  • 6 Purple Potions
  • 3,333 Royal Jellies
• As a stack reward for adding certain stickers to the Sticker Stack:
  • Auryn rewards 1 swirled wax.
  • Pearl Girl rewards 1 swirled wax.

Drops

• As a rare drop from a Epic Puffshroom. An uncommon drop from a Legendary Puffshroom, and a common drop from a Mythic Puffshroom.
• As a very rare drop from Diamond Aphids.
• As a drop from certain planters.
  • Planting a Plastic Planter in the Coconut Field guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Candy Planter in the Cactus Field guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Blue Clay Planter in the Spider Field guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Red Clay Planter in any field has a rare chance of dropping one. However, planting it in any blue field has a higher chance of dropping one swirled wax, and planting it in the Sunflower Field guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Tacky Planter in the Pumpkin Patch guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Pesticide Planter in the Strawberry Field guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Heat-Treated Planter in the Blue Flower Field guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Hydroponic Planter in the Mushroom Field guarantees one every month.
  • Planting a Petal Planter in the Strawberry Field guarantees one every month.
  • The Planter Of Plenty has a high chance of dropping one swirled wax in any field.

During the Beesmas 2021 and 2022 events, using Riley Bee's Honeyday Candles had a 1.63% chance to give 3 swirled wax. Giving presents to certain NPCs: Gifted Riley Bee gave 1 swirled wax and other stuff during Beesmas 2020 and 2021. Completing Bee Bear's "Snow Cub Reformation (3/5)" 2021 Beesmas quest rewarded the player with 1 swirled wax and other items. Completing Dapper Bear's 2021 Beesmas quest rewarded the player 1 swirled wax and other items. Opening the Jubilant and Mythic Gift Box gave 2 swirled waxes and other items. Tips

• Having as many active Planters on corresponding fields that can make them drop swirled waxes can help get them.
• Try to do Puffshrooms with other strong players, as it can maximize the potential of the Puffshroom's levels and amounts summoned.
• Make sure to do the Honeyday Candles as much as possible.

Trivia

• This is the first wax to be added to the game. It was added in Beesmas 2020 while the rest were added in Beesmas 2021.
• This wax, Soft Wax and Debug Wax are the only waxes guaranteed to change a Beequip's stats.
• Before the 2021-12-26 update, this item had no favor when donated to the Wind Shrine.
• Swirled wax used to have a limit of 5, but the limit was removed in the 2021-12-26 update.
• Before the 2021-12-26 update, swirled wax did not have a wick in its icon design.
• This is the only wax that was not included in the Waxy Bundle.
