Trading

The trading feature is disabled. No reason has been publicly stated as to why it is.

Trading is a mechanic added in the 2024-01-12 update, which allows players to trade Beequips, Cub Buddy Skins and stickers. The trade request menu can either be opened by going to settings or walking over a player's hive and accepting the prompt for a trade request. You can add or remove an item by interacting with the button in the top left corner of the item. When ready, both players select the accept button before waiting 5 seconds. Once the 5 seconds are over, the trade menu closes, and both players receive their items and get taken to the items' stats.

Trading can be done an unlimited number of times to an unlimited number of players. But you cannot trade with multiple players at a time. A player has to accept or decline a trade request before being able to get a trade request from the same player again. You can also change whether you can receive trade requests by going into settings and finding "Allow trade requests". A player can be ineligible to receive trade requests for either not having unlocked trading yet or having their trade requests disabled. The requirements for unlocking trading are:

• 20 Bees
• Playtime Cadet Badge (8 hours of playtime)

If a player is unable to receive trading requests, one of two messages will appear depending on which reason it is. If they don't have trading unlocked, then: "[{Player} has not unlocked trading (20 Bees and Playtime Cadet Badge)]" else if it's because they have trading requests disabled: "[{Player} has disabled trading]". If the player decides to cancel a trade, both players keep their items, and the trade menu closes before a popup appears telling both players that the trade has been cancelled.

Tips

• Beware of scams involving cross-trading and trust trades. Make sure that the items traded are of similar value before accepting the trade.
• Make fair and cancel unfair trades. If you make an unfair trade, or if the other player makes an unfair trade, it is likely that the trade will be cancelled, and you should cancel an unfair trade.
• Use the item inspector. You should use the item inspector to your advantage to make sure the item's balanced (if you are also a collector) also take the item's rarity into consideration. The item inspector is a must in ensuring that Beequips have the stats that you are looking for.

Trivia

• The item inspector in the trading menu is the only official way to see the methods of obtainment for the Play Button and Gamer Chat Icon stickers, as they do not appear in the Sticker Index.
