Well, I don't really have anything better to do (I'm lying), so I decided I'd create a blog for (hopefully) weekly updates on the editing side of the wiki. Hopefully it highlights that we do some stuff behind the scenes that you might not notice from the surface. If you want, you can also use this blog as a means of suggestions. Food for thought. Anyways, enjoy!

  • Date formatting has been standardized at last! Now, all dates are formatted in compliance with ISO formatting (YYYY-MM-DD).
    • This was done as the first use of the most recent bot account to be put in use.
  • The Template:Field infobox is now redone. As such, we no longer have use for Template:NonRectangularField.
  • Every single aphid file was misspelled… seriously. "Aphild". But, now, instead of "NormalAphild" and "ArmoredAphild" we have "Aphid" and "Armored Aphid".
  • Template:Redirect is now in main use. It standardizes "Not to be confused with…" context links across the wiki.
  • New Editing Guidelines (and Manual of Style) are still in the works. Feedback is welcomed.

  • Fancy Message Wall warnings have been revived from the dead! Since the rollout of Unified Community Platform (UCP), it was completely impractical to use CSS on Message Walls; however, with the help of ::before and ::after pseudo-elements, they are here to stay.
    • Click here to view all of the newly-added warnings.
  • The button used to edit template data is now fixed by the request of Mario… it took a few tries but it's working.
  • A rewrite of the Editing Guidelines is in progress – see more at User:TsunamiTheWindyBee/Editing Guidelines. Feedback is welcomed.
  • A new bot is now on the wiki! Give a warm welcome to BeekeeperBot! (You don't have to. It'd be awkward for both you and my alt account.) We're still currently waiting for autoconfirmation to kick in to allow us to use its global.js page.
    • We're planning on making adjustments to pages with the new opportunity – stay tuned!
    • This also came with minor changes to Template:Bot.
    • See w:Help:Bots for more information about bot accounts if you're interested.
