Cap 100 |
Whirligigs are inventory items added in the Beesmas 2021 update. Using one simply teleports the player and their bees back to their hive, as well as temporarily increasing Convert Rate.
Whirligigs have a limit of 100. Obtaining any while having more than 100 whirligigs will not add them to the player's inventory, unless they are obtained through quests or codes.
Attempting to use a Whirligig without claiming a hive will prompt the message: You must claim a hive to use a Whirligig
Ways to Obtain[]
- A common drop from the Robo Bear Challenge.
- A reward from Retro Swarm Challenge.
- As a rare drop from mobs such as Rhino Beetles and Mantises.
- As a drop from certain planters.
- Planters harvested in Pine Tree Forest have a higher chance to drop whirligigs than other fields. Petal Planter gives the most whirligigs, although Blue Clay Planter has the highest chance of dropping them.
- As a Stack Reward for adding certain stickers to the Sticker Stack:
- The Launching Rocket rewards 10 whirligigs.
- The Simple Mountain rewards 10 whirligigs.

Trivia[]
- Using a whirligig during an Ant Challenge will teleport the player to the starting platform after teleporting to the hive, thus putting an end to the challenge.
- This is also one of the ways to exit the White Tunnel other than defeating or being killed by Tunnel Bear, leaving and rejoining the game, and using the gray plate at the middle of the tunnel.
- They are based on maple tree seeds (nicknamed whirligigs), which, when falling, spin, thus traveling further from the tree. This may have inspired the whirligig's mechanic of teleporting or rather "carrying" you back to your hive.
- Before the 12/26/22 update, Whirligigs had a cooldown of 5 minutes.
- If the player has the Frozen debuff (from Snowbear), the whirligig will only teleport the player's bees.
- This may also occur if the player is lagging.
